Released FARC hostages bring home cute exotic pets (photos)

Former hostages who returned to civilization Monday after being held by the FARC for more than 12 years brought home some of the cutest animal companions.

Several of the police and military men brought with them furry and feathered friends who kept them company in captivity over the years.

Policeman Jose Libardo Forero was accompanied by a peccary, a pig-like animal native to South America and the southwestern United States, while several colorful parrots also made the journey.
