A delegation of U.S. soccer team New York Red Bulls is visiting
Manizales in Central Colombia. Players of the team participate in the
Colombian program “Football for Kids – Breaking Borders”. A team of the
New York Police Department accompanies the football club.
The idea of the Red Bulls is to establish a soccer club for poor children from different schools of Manizales, to donate footballs and sports dresses.
The New York Major League Soccer team will try to remain in contact with children through the Manizales club and hopes to leave a positive message through the sports, EJE 21 reported.
The Red Bulls team will also visit Pereira, Armenia and Santa Rosa de Cabal.
