The Colombian army says it was able to seize a memory stick with the names,
aliases and photos of 9,000 FARC members after the air raid that killed
the commander of the guerrilla’s 34th front Jesús ‘El Paisa’
Agudelo Rodríguez Sunday.
The memory was found after ground troops searched the area where the Colombian Air force had earlier bombed a FARC camp. “An important blow” to the rebels, said Defense minister Juan Manuel Santos Monday.
Officials told the BBC the memory stick holds files on 9,387 guerrillas of teh FARC’s most powerful division, the Eastern Bloc.
The usb stick also would reveal 113 guerrillas were executed for a variety of crimes and 220 had been shot for trying to escape.
