Weekly Portafolio Wednesday reported Wednesday the Minister had offered his resignation amid the growing crisis involving pyramid schemes that have left hundreds of thousands Colombians without savings and, according to some mayors, are causing an economic collapse in some parts of the country.

According to government spokespersons consulted by the radiostation, Zuluaga did not resign and Uribe emphasizes his confidence in his Minister.
