Pyramid victims occupy Pasto church

Nearly 50 alleged victims of collapsed pyramid scheme DRFE occupied a
church in the south Colombian city Pasto and took some 150 worshipers
hostage, authorities say.

The pyramid victims refuse to let anyone in or out the building until they had talks with authorities about the suspension of electricity and water payments of the poorest sectors of the city.

Security forces have closed off streets around the church.

The south of Colombia has been hit hard by the collapse of DRFE and the shut down of alleged pyramid scheme DMG. Hundreds of thousands of poor Colombians allegedly invested their savings in the crooked investment companies.
