Prosecutor General wants defense Soacha suspects investigated

Colombia’s Prosecutor General, Mario Iguaran, filed criminal and
disciplinary complaints against some of the defense attorneys of
soldiers who are on trial for allegedly having murdered civilians.

The lawyers said earlier the Prosecution is bribing witnesses to get the necessary incriminating statements against their clients and prove they killed civilians to present them as guerrillas killed in combat.

The Prosecution filed the disciplinary complaints before the Supreme Judicial Council, who will now investigate of the defense attorneys harmed or recklessly accused the opposing party in court.
