Prosecutor General to meet with extradited paramilitary head

Colombia’s Prosecutor General will meet with extradited paramilitary boss Ramiro ‘Cuco’ Vanoy in the United States.

The paramilitary boss will continue his cooperation with Colombian justice despite his extradition. The paramilitary organization AUC demobilized under the condition they would not be extradited. To assure that they would have to cooperate with Colombian Justice.

According to Caracol Radio, Prosecutor General Mario Iguarán already met with the former head of the Northern Bloc to talk about the security of his family in Colombia.

‘Cuco’ Vanoy earlier suspended all cooperation because of the security situation of his family. Shortly after the suspension Vanoy’s son Vladimir was assassinated in Bogotá.
