Presidents Colombia and Venezuela meet July 11

“The meeting is scheduled for July 11 and will be in Caracas . Both presidents are aware that this meeting is vital for relations between them and are determined not to postpone it,” an anonymous source, close to the Colombian Presidency, told the newspaper.Chávez had already told reporters a date for the meeting was set, but wouldn’t say when. “We’re just making some adjustments. I am sure there are some who don’t want us to have the meeting, but we will do it,” he added.”We are committed to unity and peace and accept the differences we may have (…) Colombia is a brotherly country, Venezuela and Colombia are like Siamese twins,” he added. The relations between the countries started getting frustrated, after Uribe stopped supporting Chávez mediation with the FARC. After Colombia killed FARC-commander Raúl Reyes  on Ecuadorean soil, Chávez even moved his troops to the Colombian border.
