Presidency clashes with ‘HH’ over alleged pressure

Ever ‘HH’ Veloza is a “compulsive liar”, said César Mauricio Velásquez , the spokesman of
Colombian President Álvaro Uribe Thursday after the former paramilitary leader
had stated he was pressured by him to remain silent about certain
issues.

‘HH’ had Wednesday publicly declared he had been pressured by the President’s spokesman and lawyer Oscar Iván Palacio not to make statements about retired general Rito Alejo del Rio and resigned Colombian ambassador to the Dominican Republic Juan José Cahux.

Both Velásquez and Palacio were involved in talk held with murdered former paramilitary spokesman ‘Job’ and close allies of Uribe.
