Pope to receive Colombian President

Pope Benedict XVI will receive Colombian President Álvaro Uribe in April, the Colombian ambassador to the Vatican said Wednesday.

According to ambassador Juan Gómez Martínez, the Pope, “who is a friend of Colombia and Colombians”, will receive the President on April 30.

Uribe is welcome in the Vatican for a private audience with the Holy Father.
