Popayan ready for First Gastronomic Mini Congress

Some 120 children will take part in the First Gastronomic Mini Congress in the south-western Colombian city of Popayan, which kicks off Friday.

The local children, all between 6 and 12 years old, will make bread sculptures, eat fruit cocktails, and bake pies.

Children with a stronger stomach can take part in the Horror Kitchen where they’ll have the chance to make deserts using blackberry blood sauce (for vampires) and magic blackberry potion (for witches).
