North Colombia politicians chase stoner vote

Barranquilla stoners are getting turned on to politics by local political chiefs offering them marijuana for their votes, a candidate for governor in the department of Atlantico has claimed.

Alfredo Palencia Molina told journalists the pot pushing pols, known as “Mochileros,” have been distributing wacky baccy to local dope lovers in the hope of securing the vote for favored candidates.

However, the 60s-style blend of pot and politics has been put on notice, after Palencia handed in evidence of the practice to the National Election Council, the Electoral Observation Mission (MOE) and the prosecutor general.
