Police seize 2.3 tons of marijuana in Risaralda

Colombian police seized 2.3 tons of marijuana and arrested two men on a farm in the Dos Quebradas municipality, in the central Colombian department of Risaralda, reports Santa Fe Radio.

The police found the illegal haul hidden in a concrete alcove. Inside the alcove were 47 sacks filled with 169 packets of marijuana, each weighing 25 kilos.

Police arrested two men who were guarding the merchandise, which is valued at around COP230 million, approximately $120,000.

The drugs and the men remain in police custody.
