Police seize 2 tons of drugs in mass raid

Police seized two tons of drugs in 564 simultaneous raids of local drug dealers’ houses conducted around Colombia.

The director of Dijin, Colombia’s National Police Agency, general Gilberto Ramírez Calle said that two tons of marijuana, cocaine, base cocaine, ecstacy, heroin and basuco (a mix of base cocaine and marijuana) were seized in the raids. 1,269 small time dealers were arrested.

The more than 4,500 members of the national police force who participated in the raids seized 11 fire arms, 18 cartridges and impounded 18 properties, El Espectador reported Tuesday.
