by Tim Hinchliffe October 14, 2011

colombia reports - arrest

The Colombian National Police arrested Jairo Antonio Musso Torres, alias “Pacho Musso,” member of the neo-paramilitary gang “Los Urabeños” on Friday on suspicion of the crimes of conspiracy, murder and forced disappearance.

The capture took place in the southern Bogota neighborhood of Magdalena where Musso was traveling in a private vehicle. According to station W Radio, he was stopped by police and presented false documentation, but was identified by authorities.

Pacho Musso was pointed out as being responsible for the 2001 massacre in Magdalena Medio in which six people were killed including three officers from the Narcotics Division.

The paramilitary gangster was also detained for three years in the U.S. for drug trafficking.
