PG leading illegal wiretapping investigation personally

Colombia’s Prosecutor General Mario Iguarán is personally leading the
investigation into illegal wiretapping by the secret service DAS,
because it seems high government officials are implicated.

Supreme court magistrate Jaime Arrubla told W Radio that Iguarán himself would lead the investigation after meeting with Colombia’s head of judiciary.

“I was surprised that everything that had been said is real. There really were interventions in the communication of magistrates, other officials and lawyers and it was not just an accidental thing,” the judge said.
