Perro come perro left out of Oscar nomination list

Colombian film ‘Perro Come Perro’ (Dog eats dog) has not made it
through the Oscar preselection and will not be nominated for the film
industry’s most important prize.

The Hollywood Academy, responsible for the yearly listing of nominations, presented the nine films to compete for ‘Best Foreign Film’. Perro Come Perro, Colombia’s entry for the 2009 awards, was not on the list.

The Carlos Moreno film is about members of a gang who steal money from the cousin of their boss and end up being chased by their former mafia friends.
