Pekerman announces strong Colombia squad for Brazil friendly

Colombia head coach Jose Pekerman on Thursday named a strong squad to face Brazil in an international friendly soccer match on November 14.

The Argentine opted to leave out a host of top stars in Los Cafeteros’ last non-competitive match with Cameroon which they won 3-0.

However, with Brazil set to pose a much sterner test Pekerman has recalled the likes of Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and Teo Gutierrez to his squad.

It will be interesting to see what changes Pekerman makes to his starting XI against five-time World Cup champions Brazil with many players such as Jackson Martinez, Carlos Sanchez and Carlos Bacca staking claims for first-team births with impressive displays against Cameroon.

Brazil already announced their squad which includes star striker Neymar, burly front man Hulk and Chelsea’s burgeoning playmaker Oscar.

The match will be played in the US MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and commemorates the 1,000th game played by Brazil.
