Owl-killing soccer player turns to kicking humans

Luis Moreno, the soccer player responsible for killing a rival team’s mascot owl is in trouble again after kicking an opposing player in the stomach in Sunday’s match.

Panamanian Moreno committed the latest act of violence during a game between his Pereira team and rivals Cali when Cali player Andres Escobar was on the ground and Moreno delivered an apparently intentional hard kick to the opponent’s abdominal area.

Moreno was immediately sent off the pitch after the incident.

Just two months ago Moreno received world-wide criticism after he kicked and fatally wounded Junior Barranquilla’s mascot owl.
