Over a ton and a half of marijuana found in Colombia’s ‘zona cafetera’

The national director of the Technical Investigations Unit (CTI) today announced discovery of 1,700 kilos of marijuana in Pereira, 

“We found 1,700 kilos of marijuana, which we believe was to be distributed in Pereira and throughout the coffee growing region” said Escobar.

Escobar also revealed the discovery was made in a house in Pereira, and that investigations will continue in the region to see if the FARC has any more drugs in the area.
