Opposition congressman investigated for FARC ties

An anti-terrorism prosecutor asked Colombia’s Supreme Court to open an
investigation against Polo Democratico congressman Jaime Dussan for
alleged ties to the FARC.

According to the prosecutor, the congressman appears in documents found on computers of ‘Raúl Reyes’, the FARC commander killed in March 2008 when Colombia bombed his Ecuador-based camp.

The Court will now review the evidence gathered by the Prosecution and decide whethr there is enough reason to open an official investigation.
