the ‘Office of Envigado’, an off-shoot of demobilized paramilitary
In a house in the upper class sector of Poblado, Police captured José Leonardo ‘Douglas’ Muñoz, the presumed successor of former Office boss Diego Fernando ‘Don Berna’ Murillo, who was extradited to the United States in May 2008.
Authorities blame members and former members of the Office for the recent wave of assassinations in the capital of Antioquia.
Wednesday was an especially succesful day for the Colombian fight against drug trafficking. In the north of Antioquia, a massive police force was able to arrest ‘Don Mario’, widely considered the country’s most dominant drug lord.
