Rescue workers in Medellín so far have found seven bodies of people buried in mud and bricks after a mudslide swept away 20 houses in the El Socorro neighbourhood. 11 people are still missing.The extreme weather and rainfall has led to immense problems in entire Colombia. In large parts of the country where the river Cauca and the river Magdalena flood or threaten to flood, the authorities are on high alert.In some cases entire villages had to be evacuated for the danger of the rising water. More than ten thousand people throughout Colombia are temporarily displaced, because of the flood. 400 families saw their houses completely destroyed.So far there have been no reports of illnesses caused by floods.
