November producer prices fall 0.03%

Colombia’s producer prices fell 0.03% in November from a month earlier,
dragged down by prices of goods and services produced in Colombia,
statistics department DANE said Thursday.

Prices of goods made and consumed in Colombia fell 0.16% in November,
while prices of imported goods advanced 0.5% in the eleventh month of
the year.

Prices of agricultural products fell 0.22% and mining prices dropped 4.65%.

In the 12 months through November, producer prices rose to 10.94%, while in the first eleven months they increased 9.86%.
On Monday, DANE said Colombian consumer prices in November advanced
0.28%, which is lower than the 0.47% posted in the same month last
year.

Colombian consumer prices were up 7.73% in the 12 months
through November, lower than the 7.94% increase in the 12-month period
through October but outside the central bank’s target range of
3.5%-4.5% for 2008. (Dow Jones)
