‘No visas for families of criminals’: US ambassador

U.S. ambassador in Colombia, William Brownfield, said Monday he
does not support that families of paramilitaries extradited to and
detained in the United States receive visas.

“I think there are 45 million people who are rather entitled to get a visa than the families of criminals”, the ambassador told Radio Caracol.

He said he will not recommend visas for the families of paramilitaries but the last word has the government in Washington.

Brownfield further explained that the United States will put a firm hand on the extradited criminals.
