Striking judicial workers wages were suspended Wednesday, as the
eight-day nationwide walkout of an estimated 40,000 workers prompted
the appointment of 22 provisional judges to handle emergency business.
The “service of justice is essential,” declared Bogotá’s Superior
Tribunal, as it declared the strike illegal, the final move in a
three-point plan of the disciplinary chamber of the Superior Council to
end the walkout, reported RCN Radio.
The judicial workers are striking for higher wages.
