No more smoking in enclosed spaces

Resolution 1956 of the Ministry of Social Protection seeks to avoid young people inhale cigarette smoke or be inspired to smoke themselves.Designated smoking areas in disclosed public spaces are in the past, because “these measures aren’t sufficient, because in the end 80 percent of the smoke will travel through air and end up being inhaled by those who do not smoke,” Deputy Minister of Social Protection, Ignacio Cuervo said.According to the deputy minister, public health is more important than the individual right to smoke. Those who do smoke in public spaces will be fined. Those who allow people to smoke in their public spaces, may lose their license.
