Nicaraguan Navy captures suspected Colombian drug dealers

The Nicaraguan Navy captured four alleged drug traffickers — including two Colombians — Saturday in Caribbean waters, reported local media Tuesday.

The suspects, who also included two Honduran men, were allegedly transporting over 600kg of cocaine bound for Mexico.

The naval authorities first spotted the high-powered boat, fitted with three outboard motors, north of Nicaragua. The suspects tried to escape before water filled the engine and the illegal cargo was thrown overboard.
