Brazil star striker Neymar will play against Colombia in the World Cup quarter finals, a soccer federation official confirmed on Monday following days of concerns over an injury.

“It is not a problem for the game. He is undergoing treatment for a heavy knock to the (right) knee and another lesser knock to the (left) hamstring,” CBF Communications Director Rodrigo Paiva told reporters in Teresopolis where Brazil is training.
According to Paiva, ““It might reduce his involvement in training, but there is no risk for the game.”
Rumors about Neymar’s possible absence at Fridays’ quarter final were spurred by coach Luis Felipe Scolari who implied the forward could be replaced against Colombia.
The only other Brazilian with concerns is midfielder Oscar, who was suffering from a “large scratch” to the back of a leg, said Pavia, who is banned from the Colombia match himself after allegedly punching a Chilean player after Saturday’s match.
