The migrants celebrated the independence of their country in Flushing Meadows Park with numerous yellow, blue and red flags and typical Colombian food, music and dance.

It was the 25th time the Colombian community celebrated their independence from Spanish rule with their own Colombia Day.

New York, and primarily Queens, has one of the largest Colombian community in the United States.

If you were in one of these Independence Day celebrations, we’d love you to share your photos. Send them to info at colombiareports.co and we will publish them.
