Nestle Colombia settles rumors of asset sell-off

Nestle Colombia said that contrary to rumors, the company does not plan on selling off its assets, reported local media on Thursday.

“I can assure you it is not true that Nestle is currently conducting an asset sale…in Colombia, and by contrast, it is working on plans for robust innovation and renovation of its products,” said Nestle Colombia.

Nestle has five factories across the country, and produces a wide-range of consumer products including dairy and pet food. It currently employs 2,600 people.

Nestle, a private Switzerland-based multinational, has operated in Colombia since 1944.
