Navy seizes 675 kilos of cocaine in Pacific waters

The Colombian Navy Wednesday sezied 675 kilos of cocaine, valued at over $20 million, that was being transported in a speed boat in Pacific waters between Colombia and Panama.

General Justo Eliseo Parra from the Pacific Joint Command said that the boat had left Punta Ardita, Colombia and was destined for Panama.

Four people aboard the boat were arrested in the operation.

Authorities believe the illegal shipment belonged to the “Los Rastrojosdrug trafficking organization, considered to be one of most powerful carteles operating in Colombia. Los Rastrojos are headed by the Calle Serna brothers, known as “Los Comba.”

The haul and those arrested are expected to be processed within the next few hours.
