In a new development in drug smuggling techniques Colombian police found cocaine base baked into loaves of bread in the Bolivar department, El Espectador reported Monday.
After searching a suspected cocaine dealer’s “panaderia” (bakery) and finding nothing incriminating, an inquisitive officer broke open a loaf of bread to find cocaine base packaged inside.
The bust yielded a total of 50 small packets of cocaine base from the panaderia in the city of Carmen in northern Colombia.
