Touring Colombian musicians dedicate performance to Joe Arroyo

Some of Colombia’s greatest musicians dedicated a U.S. concert to the hospitalized salsa musician Joe Arroyo.

Musicians on the “Gran Concierto de Colombia” tour played at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday night. The musicians came together to cover some of Arroyo’s greatest songs.

Musical group Binomio de Oro de America, along with musicians Dario Gomez, Carlos Humberto Lopez, Didier Moreno, Duban Bayona and Israel Romero contributed to a star-studded version of Arroyo’s “Rebellion (No le pega la negra)”.

The Gran Concierto de Colombia will continue to play shows on the U.S. east coast, then will travel to Central America in mid-July. The final concert will be played in the city of Cali, Colombia on July 31st.
