Colombian fusion band Mauricio & Palo de Agua debuted a new song “Que belleza de mujer,” the first single from their latest album, El Espectador reported Thursday.
According to the singer and creator of the group, Mauricio Rodriguez, the single is “more than a song, it is a compliment, a declaration to the most beautiful being on earth: the woman.”
The song was produced by Rodriguez, Jorge Gutierrez and Nicolas Tovar, and recorded in Miami. The production fuses several genres of music, including rap, vallenato, son Cubano and hip-hop.
The group played Wednesday in Gaira Cafe Cumbia House in Bogota, in celebration of International Women’s Day, reported events site Plan B.
Rodriguez began his solo career young, as a guitarist and singer, and later formed Mauricio & Palo de Agua.
The group formed by Rodriguez is well-known for their debut album “Canto Caribeño.”
