DMG property auctioned in Panama

Panama has started auctioning seized goods of former DMG boss
David Murcia. The money will be used to repair victims of
the DMG ponzi scheme.

Murcia’s luxury yacht, a Ferrari, Maserati and a Lamborghini seized by Panama’s authorities will be auctioned on Thursday, prosecutor William Parodi told local media. “Some goods have already been sold, like office equipment, chairs and that sort of thing,” Parodi said.

Once all of Murcia’s property is auctioned in Panama, a court will decide how to distribute the money. 215,251 people who invested their money in DMG and lost it in the company’s shutdown are waiting for reparation.

Murcia was convicted for money laundering and illicit enrichment at the beginning of August.
