Phonecalls of more than 600 people were illegally intercepted by
Colombia’s intelligence service DAS, Caracol Radio reported Friday
after having seen the Prosecution report.
According to the report, researchers of the Prosecution’s technical investigations were able to find some recordings that were made of illegal wiretaps in the last few days, but that most of the possible evidence was destroyed by DAS officials.
Investigators handed over evidence gathered of the illegal wiretaps to the judicial body of the Prosecution to build a case against the DAS and intelligence service officials, who were involved in the illegal activities.
