Did former Miss Planet Natalie Ackerman have a relationship with
extinct drug lord Wilber Varela? The model’s name appeared on a
supposed list of celebrities involved with the criminal.
Ackerman did not want to remain silent about the alleged relationship and asked the Prosecution to clarify the rumors.
“I do not know why my name is on the list. People say that I stayed in Varela’s finca when I built a school in Barranquilla. But it was the house of my grandfather”, she told El Tiempo in an interview Thursday.
Natalie experienced that the rumors made it harder for her to find work in Colombia.
“Gossip has a lot of power. But luckily I have people at my side who give me strength and who know who I am”, the model added.
Wilber Varela alias “Jabón” was assassinated in Merida, Venezuela, in early 2008.
