Missing Venezuelan minor found in Colombia

A 12 year old Venezuelan boy, reported missing two months ago, was
found living in northern Colombia with a 22 year old mother of four.

Henry Rubio, Police Chief of the Caribbean department of Atlantico told the press that the boy had been found by an elite anti-kidnapping squad that works in the region.

“The boy said he is very in love with the woman,” Rubio continued.

The 22 year old, a Venezuelan called María Cristina Luceno has four children aged 2, 4, 5 and 7, is believed to be pregnant with the 12 year old’s child.

Rubio said that according to the boy’s statement, he was tricked into coming to Colombia before finding out his girlfriend was pregnant.

The boy’s parents were reunited with their son in Barranquilla, who was brought to the city along with the woman and her children.

The woman is now in DAS custody and will be deported. Her children will remain in the temporary custody of government welfare agency Bienestar Familiar.
