Colombian authorities said Thursday they found the body of the soldier
that had been missing after clashes between the armed forces and the
FARC Tuesday in the eastern Guaviare department. The total number of
soldiers that died in the fighting is five.
According to Armed Forces commander Freddy Padilla, soldier Freddy Silva Villegas was killed during the same attack that killed his colleagues.
Silva Villegas was part of an army platoon that was patrolling the Guaviare department when FARC guerrillas attacked them.
