Miss Cauca on Monday won “best body” out of 25 Miss Colombia candidates in a test of strength and fitness.
The fitness section of the contest displayed contestants fitness in cardiovascular exercises, endurance and strength in front of a panel of Colombian celebrities such as model and presenter Carolina Cruz and Colombian television channel RCN Style director Sergio Barboza.
The contest organizers chose to include the test to highlight the importance of exercise to strengthen the body and spirit.
Since the prize was first awarded in 2002 the Bodytech winner has gone on to win the competition every year except 2006 and 2007 when they became runner
The contestants were voted on their tone and harmony in their figures among other things.
