Medellín extend lead in Group B

Independiente de Medellín are the big winners of match day three in
Group B of the Copa Mustang II semi final stage with a spectacular 2-3
win at La Equidad in Bogotá.

DIM took the lead through Martínez in the 5th minute but Carpintero levelled in the 23rd, for Polo to put La Equidad ahead shortly before half time.

The Bogotans seemed to be heading for an important win but Martínez netted his second to level in the 79th minute. The winner came eight minutes later and was scored by Quintero.

Atlético Nacional didn’t even need a minute to open the score against Deportes Tolima, with Walter Moreno as goalscorer.

But the Ibagué outfit soon replied with an equaliser in the 12th minute.

With half of the matches played in this group, Medellín lead with seven points. Tolima have four, Nacional three and making it to the final seems practically impossible for La Equidad with just one point.
