Medellin is preparing for a grand celebration of classical music on Tuesday night, as the city’s Metropolitan Theater hosts the 6th International Classical Music Season.

The night’s event will begin with a concert by award-winning French harpist Emmanuel Ceysson. The young musician will perform recitals of pieces by composers such as Bach, Louis Spohr and Carlos Salzedo.

Eighteen more concerts will take place throughout the night, with performances by some of the world’s most skilled classical musicians. These include Spanish guitar maestro Pepe Romero, the German quartet Grau-Schumacher and the Sinfonietta Stockholm, a 15-member chamber orchestra.

The concert is due to begin at 8 PM, with tickets costing between COP20,000 and COP40,000.
