A garbage truck driver in the north of Colombia was injured on Sunday when a road collapsed, dragging his vehicle down a pothole almost the size of the truck.

The incident took place in Santa Marta, one of Colombia’s best-known tourist destinations on the Caribbean coast.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

According to locals, the truck fell in the hole early Sunday morning. Late Sunday evening, locals said on Twitter that local authorities had left the truck in the hole the entire day.

According to W Radio, local authorities blamed a broken tube for the state of the road.
