Mass grave found in central Colombia

A mass grave was found near the town of Puerto Gaitan in Colombia’s Meta department, said local media Friday.

The grave site contained Colombian Armed Forces uniforms and a weapons cache. Authorities believe the weapons belong to criminal gangs operating in the area.

According to the report, the site was discovered during an operation by the  Seventh Army Brigade – coordinating with the Inspector General –  to capture an alleged criminal.
