Martina Garcia: ‘Who doesn’t want to act with Johnny Depp?’

Sexy Colombian actress Martina Garcia wants to appear in a film someday with eccentric American actor Johnny Depp, she recently confessed to a popular magazine.

The 28-year-old actress, who recently made the jump from Colombian “telenovelas” to the big screen, said it has been a “secret desire” to work with the reclusive Depp, who has starred in such diverse films as ‘Willy Wonka’, Donnie Brasco’ and ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’.

“I have not thought about Hollywood,” Garcia said. “But who does not want to work with Johnny Depp? I have never been to Los Angeles, but soon I will. Actually, I have planned a way. That has happened to me often; I’m doing things that I could ever dream of, and they have turned out infinitely better than I could have desired.”

The baby-faced actress began her career on Colombian television as a teenager. After studying Theater in Colombia she traveled to London in 2002 to continue her education at prestigious speech and drama schools, and later in Madrid with Juan Carlos Corazza and the Japanese actor Yoshi Oida, according to her official fan website.

After extremely successful roles in Colombian soap operas such as Amor a la Plancha, Garcia graduated to film, landing roles in the 2009 films ‘Rabia’ and ‘Amar a Morir’.

Garcia lives between Mexico, Paris and Barcelona, and follows a rigorous schedule, from filming and auditioning for upcoming projects, to finishing her degree in Philosophy at a prestigious Barcelona university.

Between Mexico, Paris and Barcelona, Garcia has forged a film career that may well end up in Hollywood, her supporters say.
