Colombian tennis player Mariana Duque failed to survive the first round at Roland Garros, standing no chance against her much stronger Austrian opponent.
Duque faced Sybille Bammer on Court 3 of the French Open, where it soon became clear that the gap was simply too big.
The first set was lost 6-0 after which the second ended in 6-1, allowing Duque to save some of her by at least securing one game.
Of the three Colombian players featuring at Roland Garros, only Alejandro Falla managed to advance to the second round. Santiago Giraldo stranded in the first.
