Man dumps sack containing body in Bogota

Bogota police reported on Thursday that a large sack containing a human body was thrown from a vehicle close to the city’s Metropolitan police station, reported Colombian media.

The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the centre of the city.

According to reports, when police discovered the contents of the bag – in which a human body was wrapped in blankets – they began a long chase of the vehicle from which it had been thrown.

The man thought to be responsible for dumping the body was eventually arrested by police.

Forensics agency Medicina Legal will begin investigations to determine the identity of the body and the cause of death.
