Eight politicians and two businessmen from the Magdalena department are
called for questioning about a pact they allegedly made with
paramilitary organization AUC.
Among the politicians are current and former mayors of municipalities in the northern department.
The ten are suspected of having made deals with paramilitary leader ‘Jorge 40’ in September 2000 for their own political gain.
