Lorena, queen of Barranquilla’s gay carnival

Lorena Paola Arenas Castrillón, a 25-year old stylist from the caribbean town of Soledad, on Thursday was presented as the queen of the Gay Carnival in Barranquilla and Atlantico.

Following her election, a group of musicians accompanied the new queen to the house of the chairman of the Autonomous Corporation of the Gay Carnival, Jairo Paolo, to celebrate her new title.

Queen Lorena will represent tha coastal gay community and preside the gay march at Barranquilla’s world famous carnival in February.
